A press brake bends sheet metal by pressing a punch into a die, and the depth of the stroke sets the bending angle, from a single clean edge through to a complex multi-bend profile. KNUTH supplies press brakes across the range, from the compact conventional hydraulic machine to the large CNC press brake with a long bending beam and high press force. Conventional models are set up by hand and suit simple, repeating bends, while CNC press brakes drive the back gauge, press force and bending angle from a programme for high repeatability, supported by crowning and angle measurement. Matching punches, dies and tooling come from KNUTH as well.
