Plasma cutting machines cut electrically conductive metal with a concentrated plasma jet. They handle steel, stainless steel and aluminium far faster than a saw and more economically than a laser once plate thickness grows. KNUTH supplies CNC controlled plasma cutting machines in several sizes, from a compact workshop machine to a gantry machine for large format plate. The plasma sources come from Kjellberg and Hypertherm. Depending on the machine you can add an oxy-fuel flame head for thick plate, a tube cutting attachment and a cutting head for bevels. The control works with nesting software that reads your drawings and arranges the parts on the plate. Matching consumables for plasma cutting are available from KNUTH as well.
