A guillotine shear cuts sheet metal along a straight line.
An upper blade moves against a fixed lower blade and separates the plate. The hold-down clamps the sheet first, so the edge stays straight and almost free of burr. KNUTH supplies three drive types. Manual lever shears suit thin plate and small formats. Motorised series carry daily production. Hydraulic guillotine shears cut thick material across wide plates. NC and CNC versions position the back gauge on their own and set rake angle and blade gap. Plate support and stacking systems help with large formats. Shear blades and wear parts are available from KNUTH as well.
