EDM machines cut and shape electrically conductive materials by spark erosion instead of with a cutting edge. Hardened steel, carbide and titanium are therefore machined as accurately as soft materials. KNUTH supplies both EDM processes: die sinker EDM machines for cavities, pockets and internal contours, and wire cut EDM machines for through cuts, dies and fine detail. The focus is on entry level and mid range machines for toolmaking, mould making, single part production and repair work. Every machine is numerically controlled. EDM wire, filters and dielectric fluid are available from the consumables range.
