The Portwest BIZ5 Navy Iona Bizweld Coveralls combine the flame resistant protective qualities of Bizweld fabric with the characteristic high-vis reflective stripes of the Portwest Iona range. The jumpsuit will effectively protect you from splashes of molten metal, arc flashes and radiant, convective and contact heat.

What Can the BIZ5 Navy Iona Bizweld Coveralls Do for Me?

The coveralls have numerous helpful features:

  • Thermal Hazard Protection: Resistance to radiant, convective and contact heat as well as class 1 welding protection against splashes of molten metal
  • Visible: Flame resistant reflective tape on shoulders, sleeves and legs for instance visibility in low light conditions
  • Comfortable: Knee pad pockets allow for comfortable kneeling all day long without fear of damaging the garment
  • Functional: Radio loops for easy clipping of radios, concealed stud front for easy access, ample handy storage space including a rule pocket

The Bizweld fabric which has been used to construct the coveralls is made from 100% soft and wearable cotton with a reliable flame resistant finish. Garments made from Bizweld are designed to provide outstanding protection when welding or performing other allied processes.

What Do These Certifications Mean?

  • EN 11612: This standard determines whether a garment offers protection against heat and flames, and whether this protection extends to convective, radiant or contact heat
  • EN 11611: This standard shows whether an item of clothing is suitable for welding or similar tasks and will protect the wearer from heat and metal splashes
  • ASTM F1959: This standard determines the arc rating of a garment, which is the amount of energy needed to pass through the fabric to cause a second or third degree burn

The Portwest coveralls will shield you from arc flashes, attenuating 80.4% of the resulting heat. The jumpsuit will also protect you from radiant, convective and contact heat and splashes of molten metal. The coveralls have been certified as providing class 1 welding protection and have achieved an ARC2 rating for arc flash protection.
